Marriage certificate states occupation as "Musician", and address as 51, Rochester Row. Occupation as declared in 1881 census = "Musician", and name appears to be registered as just "Edward". The 1881 census has Pierre living with his wife and two children at, 133, Ackerman Road, Lambeth, London. The 1887 and 1888 birth certificates of Percy and Henry has Pierre living at, 1, Edwards Cottages, Pitt Street, Peckham - Occupation, "Musician". Occupation as declared in 1901 census = "Musician at Theatre". The 1901 census has Pierre living with his wife and seven of his children at, 26, Nunhead Grove, Peckham, London. |

Herbert Jacques In the 1901 census Herbert was a "Boy Under Training" with many other boys at St. Germans, Cornwall. On the night of Sunday 31st March 1901 (the census point) he is recorded as being a Navy Man (Boy 2nd Class), on the list of the Officers, Crew, Royal Marines and all of the other persons on board the "Lion" at Maker Heights. Herbert Jacques emigrated to New Zealand in about 1921, Eliza followed on 6-12 months later. |
