Holidaying in Margate c. 1934 Three Strudwick ladies, with Ethel Maud Rosina Millis (nee Calkin) Lt-Rt: Doreen, Auntie Ethel, Beatrice Hilda, Hilda Beatrice ("Paddy")

Beatrice Hilda Calkin (became Mrs. Strudwick) Seventh of of 8 children born to Pierre Edward and Eliza Jane The 1911 census lists Beatrice (aged 13) as living with her widowed mother as above. She is shown as still being at school. Could not locate Beatrice or Sidney Strudwick on the 1921 census.

	Married:	c. 03.1918	to Sidney R. Strudwick, registered in Camberwell.
	Died:	c. 03.1977	Aged 79, registered in Southwark.
Sidney R. Strudwick Son of ?.
	Born:	1895	at ?
	Died:	c. 09.1968	registered in Chichester.

As the Calkin line ends with Beatrice down this route, I won't expand this line further, except to say:
Beatrice and Sidney had two Children :

Hilda Beatrice Strudwick (b.1921) ..... affectionately known as "Paddy".

Doreen Strudwick (b.1925).

A note from your author:
My Great-aunt Beat who married Sidney above lived at 64 Aspinall Road, Brockley and I certainly visited there on a few occasions when quite a few family members got together, including another Great-aunt Ethel.
My father (Rex Calkin) actually lived in 64 Aspinall Road for a time, he remembers:

"My dad and I went from Wembley to 64 Aspinall Road in time for me to attend S.E.London Technical college, this must have been about 1947-ish. I lived there for about 6 years. Whilst living with Auntie Beat, I think one of the daughters married a chap from the met. I also remember seeing there my Auntie Dot (Dorothy Calkin) who's husband Uncle Tom was a driver for a fizzy drinks company. She had at least one son called Dennis who I think became chief engineer of the electricity board in the Ilford area."
