The 1911 census includes Herbert J. in the "Royal Navy at Sea" section on board the Dominion, a Battleship 1st Class.
The captain's name is Morgan Singer. The boat is stationed at Glengariff Harbour, Ireland
Herbert is listed as being 26 years old, an Able Seaman (Service number: 212602) and married.
The 1921 census has Herbert still in England living with his wife and five sons at 29, Spring Street, Immingham, Beelsby, Lincolnshire.
His occupation is listed as "Shipyard Fitter's Labourer" for Humbler Graving, Dock and Engineering Company at Immingham Dock.
Herbert Jacques emigrated to New Zealand soon after in about 1921, Eliza followed on 6-12 months later with the 5 sons.

         Died: 06.10.1954 Aged 74, in New Zealand.
