Elizabeth Ann It is believed that Elizabeth emigrated by herself to France. She suffered great trials as the consequence of the Franco/Prussian war (1870-71). The greatest of which was the death of her husband during the siege of Paris. They actually lived four miles from the city, but left their home to seek shelter within the walls of Paris. She returned to her own house to find it a ruin. |
