Research was made in January 2004 to try and trace information about this family.
Firstly a search was performed for the baptism of Anne Addleton, the wife of Thomas, to ascertain her age. As her marriage
to Thomas took place in Uttoxeter, it is quite usual for this to be the native parish of the bride. Unfortunately, searching
the Uttoxeter, St Mary register (F3891/1/3) her's could not be located, although it appears her brother and sister were
present:
John, the son of Thomas Addleton was baptised the same first day, March 1673.
Sarah, ye daughter of Thomas Addleton and his wife, baptised December ye 2nd day, 1677.
Continuing through the register up to 1687 did not reveal Anne.
However, a burial entry for Anne Calkin was located, of which I do have a copy, it says:
Anna, uxor Thomas Calkin - 30th September 1729
Unfortunately, this entry does not give her age at death.
The baptisms of sons Thomas and Joseph have been confirmed from the register of St. Mary, Stafford (F1399/2).
