After her husband's early death in 1872 she ran the family painting and decorating business with her eldest son. In the 1901 census she was living at 53, Prince Consort Cottages, Windsor, Berkshire. She is listed as a widow living with her son Ernest T. Spencer a watchmakers assistant, aged 30. |

Amelia Maud Spencer In the 1881 census she was Nursery Maid to the 10th Marquis of Tweededale at Yester Mansion, Haddington, Scotland. There she met her husband to be, Thomas Lilly, employed as Footman. They married at St. George's, Edinburgh in 1885 and had four children. Amelia Maud spent the rest of her life in Scotland and died in Glasgow in 1927. |
