Calkin (nee Harris), Susanna In the 1871 census Susanna, aged 35 (?), is listed as a visitor at the home of the Simmons family at 32, Tyndal Street, Birmingham. Her occupation is listed as "Milliner". In the volumes of Staffordshire Monumental Inscriptions held by the Society of Genealogists, I found the following which ties in nicely with the details I already had for this Mrs. Calkin: In the inscriptions for St.Mary's, Handsworth - "Susan Calkin died 23.05.1885 aged 43 years." |
