Family of Henry Calkin

Calkin, Henry
Eldest of 4 children born to Henry and Eleanor
The 1861 census has Henry living with his parents as a "Scholar".
The British Army Service Records lists a Henry Calkin being discharged from the 17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge's Own)
on 4th April 1866 as a Private aged 20 years.
The 1871 census has Henry living at 22, Pierrepons Street, St. Mary, Nottingham with his wife and son.
His occupation is listed as "Carpenter".
Born: 15.04.1847 at 80, Pratt Street, Camden Town.
Married: c. 09.1870 to Mary Ann Riley, registered in Nottingham.
It looks like Mary Ann re-married in 03.1877 after Henry's early death.
Died: c. 03.1876 Aged 28, registered in Lincoln.
Calkin (nee Riley), Mary Ann
The 1881 census has Mary re-married and living at 17, Windsor Street, St. Mary, Nottingham,
with new husband John Oates (Stonemason, b. 1858 in Halifax) and her son Thomas (Box Maker).
1881 census lists her occupation as "Frillery Worker".
After Henry Calkin died, Mary must have reverted to her maiden name because
in the 1881 census, son Thomas is listed as Thomas Riley.
         Born: c. 1844 in Nottingham.
Re-married: c. 03.1877 to John Oates in Nottingham.
Died: c. 09.1899 Aged 55 (as Mary Oates), registered in Nottingham.

One Child
Thomas (Riley)
See mother's detail above ...
But it appears that Thomas ceased to be a Calkin and became a Riley.
         Born: c. 06.1864 in Nottingham.
