Calkin, Alfred Samuel Fifth of 12 children born to Joseph William and Margaret In 1871 census Alfred S. was listed as Aged 1, living with his parents as above. Occupation as declared in 1901 census = "Postman". The 1901 census has Alfred living with his wife and three of his children at, 2, Vineyard Terrace, Finchley, Middlesex. On son Albert's birth certificate Alfred's occupation is still "Postman", but now living at, 6, Beaconsfield Cottages, Long Lane, Finchley.

Nellie Appears on 1901 census as living with her parents above. Nellie and husband George emigrated to Canada, but at some time in the early 1930's they parted and Nellie returned to England. She re-married and returned to Canada where she ended her days.

	Married:	c. 09.1937	to Thomas James Pavia Bloomfield registered in Barnet.     Thomas is listed as dying in action on 27th May 1942 in Libya,     and is buried 20 miles west of Tobruk.     He was a Sergeant (420550) of 4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters),     Royal Armoured Corp.     See his entry at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
