Hit a block with John. I have not been able to ascertain his parents.
His family all lived in Adbaston, but no other Calkin (or Caulkin) family has been identified there.
Just west of Adbaston is Cheswardine, just to the east Eccleshall and Seighford.
Just to the north is Ashley and Maer. All of these places have Calkin connections.
