Along with family also living with them is Ralph Downery (17 - Nephew) and Annie E. Horsley (37 - Boarder).
In the 1911 census William (aged 42) is living with his wife and three children at 2 Smith Child Street, Tunstall, Staffordshire.
His occupation is listed as "Elementary Schoolmaster".
In 1912 William is listed in Historical Directories as,
Headmaster, Summerbank School, Summerbank Road, Tunstall, Stoke.
In the 1921 census William (aged 52) is living away as a boarder at The Harecastle Hotel, Kidsgrove, Staffordshire.
His occupation is listed as "Schoolmaster" at "Edith Corcece, Colmty borough of Stoke On Trent".
The 1939 register seems to confirm that William H. was living with a different woman with two other children.
He did then marry this other woman immediately after his first wife died.
The 1939 register has William, future wife Louisa, and two children - Rosalind and Peter living at 27 Beeches, Walford, Ross and Whitchurch, Hertfordshire.
William's occupation is given as "School Master, Retired".
Probate listing of his death in 1954 says,
William Henry Calkin of The Beeches, Forest Green, Walford, Herefordshire died 7th December 1954.
He died at the Cottage Hospital, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, leaving effects of £530 9s 1d.

The 1921 census lists Ellen (aged 53) as head of family living at 57, Stanfield Road, Burslem.
Her occupation is listed as "Elementary School Teacher" working at Cofe School Colridge.
Her mother, Mary Gaskell (aged 81) and Sister, Edith Gaskell (aged 50) are staying with Ellen and three children are listed as seen below.
The 1939 register has Ellen staying with her sister at her daughter Alice's house at 12 Stratford Avenue, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
Her occupation is listed as "Elementary School Teacher (Retired)".

Her occupation was "Sorting Clerk and Telephonist".

The London Gazette of 24th April 1972 lists the death of Harold as 29.01.1972 living at 58 East Avenue, Bournemouth.
