Goliath
The Goliath
At breakfast time on the morning of 22nd December 1875 the Forest Gate School's training ship Goliath moored in the Thames estuary off of Grays in Essex was destroyed by fire.
Reports indicate that one officer and about 19 boys are believed to have died in the tragedy.

Using artistic licence, Captain Bouchiere's face in the picture is in fact Lance's father George !
