Calkin, Graham Rex Eldest son of 4 children born to Rex & Stella Calkin 1959-1965 - Greensted Junior School in Basildon. 1965-1971 - Barstable Grammar School, Basildon 1971 - Trainee Accountant at Associated Electricity (British Insurers) Management Committee, Queen Street, London. 1972 - Trainee Accountant at Ford Credit in Barking. 1974 - Record department manager at Godfrey's, Laindon. 1979 - Control Data Institute, London for a full-time computer programming and analysis course. Systems employment: 1979 - Thermos, Brentwood. 1980 - Carreras Rothmans, Basildon 1984 - Ford (Tractor Division), Cranes Farm Road, Basildon 1986 - Trebor, Woodford Green 1987 - Freshfields, St.Paul's, London 1987 - Cable and Wireless, Farringdon, London 1989 - Ford Motor Co. (variety of sites) ..... to present day. Throughout that time (and hence the 1974-1979 career change), DJ'd 1971 through to the 90's. As well as initial mobile work Graham had residencies at Sweeney's and Raquel's nightclubs - plus The Shannon and Fat Sam's Grand Slam Bar. Although Graham has "rested" from DJ'ing since around 1990, he carried on producing mixes from his home studio and had his Doors Megamix issued by D.M.C. in 1995. The music in which he specialises in mostly is The Beatles, having everything they ever recorded (plus much more) and he runs his own web-site which is the biggest (and best) Beatle site in the U.K. (see The Beatles U.K. Discography if interested), plus Graham has been published.
Graham and family still live in Sunny Basildon and are founder members of the David Lloyd Club where he plays regular tennis
and pumps iron in the gym. |

Asa gained his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 2010 at Manchester University. 2010-2011 Asa returned to complete his Masters in the same subject. 5th October 2011 Asa flew to Perth, Australia with the hope of taking a year of employment there using his Geology Masters. Asa joined BHP Billiton in 2011 and in 2018 after seven years in Australia took citizenship there :
