Harry Roy and his Band - on board The Alcantara April 1938 In Arthur's own hand on the back of this Post Card he names the people above as: Back Row: Harry Goss, Tommy Porter, Abe Romaine, Bert Wilton, Bill Curry, Norman White, Ray Ellington, Jack Collins, Dick Boothroyd, Alf Horton, Tommy Venn, Arthur Calkin Front Row: Sitting - Maurice Sterndale, Harry Roy, Wendy Clare, Stanly Black, Nat Temple, Joe Arbiter Those names match up nicely with those listed for 1938 as being with the band in Rust and Forbes. The Vessel passenger lists show that they left Southampton for Buenos Aires, Argentina. Arthur's wife Phyllis also travelled with the band.
